Thai.com Mail is a free web-based e-mail service provided by Internet Thailand Public Company Limited. The main objective is to offer an all-inclusive e-mail solution. Your e-mail is available anytime, anywhere. All you need to check your e-mail is to use any available web browser and an internet connection.

General Information

New Member?
To become our member, simply register your account and fill in all the information required (marked by *) on the registration page. You must fill in the correct information, as this information will be used to verify yourself when you forgot your password.

Configure your account
You can access and change your personal information by using "Edit profile" link on the top menu bar next to your e-mail address. The next page has all the Information you entered when you originally registered for the site. Make any changes you need and press the "Submit" to complete the configuration. Or press the "Reset" to cancel.

ØConfigure your preference
You can specify your mail preference by clicking on "PREFERENCE" at the top menu bar. Here you can change your password and select your desired preference.

Display full message headers.
This feature will show all details of message headers along with the outgoing message.

Display HTML e-mail.
You can specify preferences for viewing your mail either in an HTML format (text&images) or as an attachment. To specify these preferences, go to "Preference" page.

Do not keep sent messages in the Sent folder.
This feature will automatically delete your outgoing messages after they were sent, unless you have specified during the process. If you do not check, the system will keep all the outgoing messages and your mailbox will be full.

Automatically deleted messages after......days.
This feature lets you specify number of days that you allow the system to delete your sent messages.

Sort messages by: Date, Sender, Subject .
This let you select how each message in each folder will be sorted.

Messages per page 10, 20, 50, 100, 250.
This feature allows you to select number of message display on the page.

Your signature.
The signature is the text you choose and it will be appended to the end of your outgoing messages.

After you have finished, click "update preference" to save your changes.

Basic Mail Feature


Mailbox size
You can store up to 5 megabytes of data on our servers. Your Trash folder will be automatically deleted depending on number of days specified in the "Preference" section. If you did not activate your account for 6 months, your account will be terminated.

Incoming Messages: You can receive a message up to the disk space available A message larger than the available disk space will be refused from our mail system

Outgoing Messages
: You can attach any data on your outgoing messages, as long as the size is within the available free space.

Sending Mail
Once you have logged in to Thai.com Mail, click the "Compose" link on the top menu bar. Enter the recipient(s) e-mail address(es) in the to:, cc: and/or bcc: boxes. You may also choose to import the address from the address book by clicking at "import from address book" link. Just select the box in front of the name and e-mail address of the desired recipients, at either, to:, cc: or bcc:, and click "OK". Enter the subject and compose the letter you wish to send. You can choose to save your outgoing message by clicking the check box at "Save a copy of message to "Sent folder" below subject line. Then select "Send" button to send your message or "Save Draft" button, the saved messages will be kept in the Draft Folder.

ØAttachments
When you compose your message, click on the "Attachments" button to attach a file. Then click "Browse" to navigate the area on your hard drive that contains the file you wish to attach. Select the file and "Open", and press "Attach File" to confirm the attachment. The list of attachment will be displayed. Repeat the steps above for multiple files attachment. You can either delete, using the "Delete" button, or "OK" to go back to the compose page.

Saving attachments
1. You must have document opened.
2. Towards the bottom of your message is the "Attachment" box. Click on the link "Display" to view the attached file, or "download" to download to your computer.
3. If you choose "Download", a window pops up asking you where you would like to save the attachment.
4. Select a location on your hard drive and press "Save"

Address Book
Storing frequently used e-mail addresses in an address book allows you to quickly access the e-mail addresses of your family, friends and/or clients you contact most often.

1. Click on the link "ADDRESS BOOK" located in middle column of the top menu.
2. Enter a nickname of a person you would like to add, followed by his/her e-mail address in the next row, then click "Create". The name now appears in the list below.
You can also edit or delete the particular e-mail address from your list by clicking "edit" link to edit, and click the trash icon to delete.

Receiving and Reading Your mail
After logging in, you will see the summary of your mailbox, stating number of new messages (if any), and percentage of your usage space.

To receive mail.
select "Check Mail" or go directly to "Inbox" from the menu on the left of your screen.
1. You will see a list of your mail messages, if you have any. The new message(s) will be highlighted in yellow as you can see a closing envelop dispalyed.
2. From that window you can see who sent it to you, the message subject, when it was sent and size of the message. Click on the link for the message you wish to read. The message you want will open and you may read your message.
3. To read next message, click "next" link. To read previous message, click "previous". Click "Full header" to view all details of the header. Or click "Inbox" to go back to your inbox.

To save messages, select the destination from the "Move to" drop down menu at the bottom right of your message. When you are ready to save your message, press the button, "Move", and your message will be moved into that folder.

Managing Message

Deleting Mail

1. Once you are in your mail message, check the box(es) next to the mail message(s) you wish to delete.
2. Press the button, "DELETE", and your message will be transferred to the trash folder.
To empty the trash folder, click the "Clear Trash" link on the left main menu below the Trash link
Note: The mail in your trash will automatically be deleted on a regular basis.

Storage
You may store up to five megabytes (5MB) of information in your mailbox at any given time. If you exceed this limit, you will receive a warning when you log in, so you may have a chance to correct it. If you do not remove messages in order to reduce your mailbox size to under the limit, your account will be blocked from receiving incoming mail.

Trash
The mail in your trash will automatically be deleted on a regular basis.

Folder Manager
If you wish to modify folders, first go to "Folder Manager" link at the left menu to edit your folders

Creating Folders
To create a folder, enter the name of the new folder in the blank space in the Create New Folder area and press the button, "CREATE".

Renaming Folders
To rename a folder, click the button in front of the folder name you want to change. Then type the new name of the folder in the space provided and press the "Rename" button.

Folders you may not rename are the Inbox, Sent, drafts and Trash.

Deleting Folders
To delete folder that contain no message(s), click the button in front of the folder name. Then press "DELETE". If that folder contain message(s), you can also click the checkbox "Delete folder and its contents" to delete all the contents and the folder itself.

Folders you may not delete are the Inbox, Sent, Drafts and Trash.

Printer Friendly View
Click "Printer Friendly View" link if you wish to print certain message without the side and top menu.

Technical Area

Sign in
To sign in,
1. You must go to the main login page.
2. Type your username in the first box named "username".
3. Type your password in the second box named "password".
4. Press the "Sign In" button to enter Thai.com Mail.

The message "Unable to access your mailbox. Please access again" will appear and the system is set to automatically log you off after 30 minutes. This is designed for security. If you leave your computer and forget to log out it may keep others from going through your mailbox. The default time out is 30 minutes.

To sign out
Click on the "Sign out" link on the main menu or top right of the menu bar and you will be completely logged out of Thai.com Mail. Any users who use your computer will not be able to access your mail if you use the Sign out feature when exiting.

Password
If you don't have your correct password, go to the "Forgot Password" link at login page. You will be asked your information and your hint question, which you once enter at the time of registration. If your answers match, your password will be shown on the next page.

Your password is case sensitive. Make sure Caps Lock is off and make sure you enter your password exactly as you did when you signed up.

You can change your password. You must log on, and select the "PREFERENCE" link on the top menu bar.
